Our 750-seat proscenium theater is registered with the League of Historic American Theatres and is located in downtown Crystal Lake, IL. August 27, 1940 — March 23, 2013 Brown, Carol J. Saginaw, Michigan Passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 23, 2013 with her family at her side, at the age of 72 years. The daughter of the late Charles and Iva (Davis) Schweitzer was born on August 27, 1940 in Pigeon, Michigan. She married Tom A. Brown on March 17, 1959; he survives her. She was the executive director of the Caro Arts Society (now the Thumb Area Center for the Arts). She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. She enjoyed golfing, gardening, camping, and was an avid reader and especially loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Tom, are their children; Wendy (Jake) Emling, Paula (Tim) Gruber, Katherine (Kevin) Anschutz, 11 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; three sisters Marsha Langley, Delores (Pal) Sharma, Sandy (Richard) Pegram and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Lorraine and Dale Kretzschmer and a brother-in-law Walter Langley. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at St. John's Episcopal Church, 123 N. Michigan Ave. Rev. Daniel Cannon will officiate with burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday at W. L. Case and Company, Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
