Published 12:00 am Tuesday, April 19, 2005 Flora L. Collins, 72, of the 2400 block of Pittmantown Road, passed away on April 11, 2005. She was a native of Longview, Texas. While living in Texas, she worked for the United States Army in the custodial department. She retired as the owner of her own custodial service in 1999. She was the First Lady of New St. Mount Holiness Church, Oh What a Fellowship Ministries. When she lived in Texas, she was a member of 37th Street Chapel of Killeen. Mrs. Collins is survived by her husband, Bishop Charlie Collins, Jr.; four daughters, Betty Ann Collins, Felicia A. Hill, Evelyn Picou and Baby Collins; four sons, Nathaniel Collins, Billy Lee, Bobby Lee and Gary. D. Collins; one brother, Cleve Brown; nine grandchildren, Phnicia, Tracy, Christa, Chucky, Anthony, Samaria, Nicole, Nathaniel Jr., and Ryan. She also leaves behind her aunt, Mrs. Eva Brown of Longview, Texas and a score of other relatives and friends. Dr. Charles McCollum of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Lillington, N.C., is presiding. The interment will be in the Collins Family Cemetery. A viewing will be from noon to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at T.E. Cooke Funeral home and a wake will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at New St. Mount Holiness Church in Franklin. Final arrangements are entrusted to Beach Funeral Services, Inc., 4456 Bonney Road, Virginia Beach, Kevin A. Sanderlin, funeral director.
