Damien himself immigrated to Baltimore City from the Dominican Republic in 2017 and for that reason he resonates with many of the struggles immigrant families are facing right now. Prior to joining us, Damien worked as a Client Access Associate with Healthcare for the Homeless where he connected vulnerable members of the immigrant community to necessary healthcare services here in Baltimore. He has over ten years of experience in the bilingual customer service industry and hopes to use those skills to better serve the immigrant community in Baltimore. Before coming the U.S., Damien worked for ten years in his country’s National General Archive digitizing and preserving priceless historical documents. It used to be a side trip, but now it's the main road. I have to remind myself that this is what's happening.
