She was born on Hurt Street in Atlanta to John Bryon and Charlie Richardson. Her sisters and brothers, all preceding her in death - Erma, Earl, Wilson, J.B.,and Kathleen - all created lasting memories from enjoying days at Piedmont Park and Commercial High, working as a secretary in government offices, spending weekends visiting those wounded in the war, watching movies at "Little Five Points", and many more. These all became the foundation of Josephine's values regarding the importance of family. She married Richard Jenkins on Oct. 5th, 1955, and together they traveled building lasting memories, until his passing in 1992. Most importantly she was a devoted wife, mother, and friend, to her daughters, sons, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was strong and independent and enjoyed parting her wisdom and sharing her life stories to those who would listen. As she aged, the highlight of her days was spending time with her daughters and her grandchildren. Her life was her children and the love she had for each runs deep. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. Josephine is survived by Richard and Vickie Jenkins, Judy Chadwick, Steve and Jan Sampson, Bob and Tina Mulvihill, Mickey and Beverly Norris, Mike and Raynelle Pearce, Cindy Jenkins, Toby and Jamie Patterson, Scott and Kim Garrett.
