I learned Yoga from my father while growing up in India and have been practicing it regularly for over 40 years. During the early 90s I started teaching simple yoga postures to some of my family members and friends. Realizing that I was able to help others with some of their minor health-related problems through the practice of yoga, I decided to go for a formal teacher training program so I could impact the lives of many more. In the summer of 1996, I completed the Teacher Training program in the Integral Hatha Yoga style at the Swami Satchidananda Ashram in Yogaville, VA. After the course, I started teaching yoga on a part-time basis, about four to five classes per week. However, since my retirement in 2005 from my corporate job, I am devoting my time fully to stydying deeper aspects of yoga and teaching several classes a week. I have constantly endeavored to increase my yoga knowledge and teaching skills and have completed other training courses. Here is a list of the yoga-related training courses that I have attended:

Frost Advisory from FRI 2:00 AM EDT until FRI 9:00 AM EDT Yoga student arrested in murder of New Berlin master The Daily Item Jul 7, 2010 Updated May 19, 2024 New Berlin Yoga Master Sudharman was murdered, the victim of multiple gunshots from a small-caliber weapon, and a suspect is now in custody, state police at Milton said this afternoon. State police Trooper Matthew Burrows said Sudharman, also known as Joe Fenton, died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds. The cause of death was established during an autopsy today in Allentown. A St. Louis, Missouri, man has been taken into custody in Maryland in connection with the crime. The suspect, Joel R. Snider, 33, was arrested Wednesday morning in Baltimore County without incident, Burrows said. Snider will be extradited to Pennsylvania, but police did not have a time frame for when that extradition would take place. According to arrest papers, the suspect and the victim both had ties to Yogaville in Buckingham County, Virginia, and Snider had developted a "methodical plan" to carry out Sudharman's murder. Sudharman was found dead late Monday afternoon on the floor of his living quarters at the Integral Yoga Center on Market Street in New Berlin. The body, found by a fellow teacher, was wrapped in blankets and was located just below the 8-foot-high loft in which Sudharman slept. According to court documents that became public with Snider's arrest, Sudharman's body was wrapped in two sheets and a comforter with duct tape wrapped around the outside. Investigators at the scene noted that the victim had an apparent gunshot wound to the neck.

Jul 8, 2010 ... Friends of the late Sudharman stand outside his Integral Yoga Center ... yoga center in New Berlin, PA. Years ago when he was trying to ... The Daily Item Jul 8, 2010 Updated May 19, 2024 Friends of the late Sudharman stand outside his Integral Yoga Center in New Berlin on Monday, waiting for his body to be removed after he was found dead in his living quarters hours earlier. A St. Louis man saw this bucolic community as the perfect stage to carry out his assassination of beloved yoga master Sudharman, court documents show. Joel Robert Snider, 33, was arrested in Maryland on Wednesday and charged with one count of felony criminal homicide in the shooting death of Sudharman, once known as Joe Fenton, in what appears to be an assassination plot that spanned from Pennsylvania to Massachusetts. State police Trooper Matthew Burrows said Sudharman's death was ruled a homicide after an autopsy revealed that the 70-year-old man had been shot multiple times with a small-caliber weapon. His body was found on the floor of his living quarters wrapped in two sheets and a comforter, and bound with duct tape. He had at least one gunshot wound to the neck. Snider was jailed in Baltimore County, Md., Burrows said, and would be extradited to Pennsylvania, but did not know when the extradition would occur. Riveting court documents reveal Snider to be a disturbed individual who made no secret of his plans to "assassinate" both Sudharman and spiritual leader Andrew Cohen. In the months leading up the Sudharman's killing, Snider sent a series of three e-mails to Swami Karunananda. According to her Facebook page, Swami Karunananda serves as vice president of spiritual development at Yogaville, Buckingham, Va.
